Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The six fields—gender, birth date, health level, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term—are all we collect to return quotes. Your full name, street address, and medical details come in only if you choose to submit an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They're the rates each carrier gives for the health class you selected. After you apply, the carrier underwriting may confirm that class, move you to a better one, or place you in a different class. This site's rates are illustrative only and aren't a binding offer or a promise of price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You complete your name and details, and we build the application from the quote you picked. It opens on the carriers' secure platform where you continue. You can leave and come back, and you sign everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, License 0B75129, manages your application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier you choose, the amount of coverage, and your health answers. Different carriers have different thresholds for accelerated decisions; each quote on this site says whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that product.

Is a longer term better?

Term coverage should last for the years when your family depends on your income: while the mortgage is being paid, while kids are young, while a business loan runs. Longer terms cost more per month but fix the rate for longer. Use our quote tool to compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year terms side by side for the same amount.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool gathers only those six fields and doesn't ask for your name, phone, or email. We don't buy, sell, trade, or share visitor information. Our measurement doesn't use cookies. The privacy page spells out exactly what's collected and who collects it.
